AKA: "Finally"
I have to say, if JJ Abrams pulled anything like what multiple bits of nonsense that Matalas is likely to pull here, the same fans that are to about to praise Matalas for, they'd rip him to shreds.

The end was leak from Matalas laptop when it was getting repaired on the same shop frequented by Hunter Biden:
When all hope was lost suddenly Elnor emerged from the bowels of the Doomsday Machine riding an armored tardigrade from the Mirror Universe. At his side was Barclay waving a long forgotten Kataan scripture used by the Organians to neutralized transtemporal Borg viral nanites. Using a Tamarian code hidden on a Darmok hologram in Data's leg, the scripture was transmitted to Picard's golem brain to instantly annihilate the Queen pervasive presence in everything and everywhere. Victory!
You are welcome!

I miss him but I am glad that character was not dragged to this mess that is coming to its end. He'll pop up in the last 5 minutes of the episode only to die a sudden horrible death. If Majel Barrett were still alive they'd kill off Mrs. Troi too. I'm surprised they don't kill off Guinan. Heck they'd probably bring in Diane Muldar just to kill off Pulaski. Hey lets kill off Admiral Jellico while we're at it! Bring in Ashley Judd, and kill off Heffler or whatever her name was. Ohhhh since she was in the very first Borg Episode, bring in Sonya Gomez and kill her off too, and lets do it with hot chocolate!!! Hey bring in the Traveler and Wesley!!!Kill them both off. And after that, kill off the main cast 'cause DRAMA!!!!

Maybe they could have a scene where they have a long line of old ST extras and shoot them all one by on. Then fans can figure out what episode they did.

Maybe they could have a scene where they have a long line of old ST extras and shoot them all one by on. Then fans can figure out what episode they did. Starting with ....I forgot the name of that Transporter Operator that Teri Hatcher played. Let's kill off Vash. Vash? yes and lets kill off Julia Nickson's character from "Arsenal of Freedom". I know, lets kill off that ensign that really can fly a ship out of closing doors of the Dyson Sphere, she kept showing up in multiple episodes. Oh, remember Data's girlfriend from "IN Theory"? Kill her off too. Hey remember that woman from "IDentity Crisis"?Susanna Leijten? YEah her, Kill her off too. Its still not too late to kill off Leah Brahms. And While we're at it, kill off the girl Geordi kept striking out with umm..Christy!!! Yeah her. But we've shown we don't only kill off TNG Characters, so lets find some more other show regulars too. Kill off Admiral Ross. What? I don't care if the actor's dead, recast him like we did Icheb and Maddox. Martok. Yeah that will give us good ratings, kill off Martok. oooh and Alexander, give Worf another reason to be mad. LEts kill off Nog...what? Didn't you hear me the first time? RECAST HIM. Lets get rid of Vic Fontaine also. Hologram? We'll just have a story where his matrix is destroyed. We got to make this show SHOCKING. and HIP and ON THE EDGE. OH OH You know the little girl on GENERATIONS that lost the Teddy Bear? Yeah her character has to go too. That will tug at some heart strings, and give her another teddy and destroy it too. Fans are gonna love this show!!!

How cheap. And they make me shed a couple of tears.
[Note to future Trek creators: Retcon this whole series, make it a holonovel stored away on a Orion bar on the Kelvin Universe.]
It is just an affective tour the force on a static past. It pushed the right buttons of your heart while leaving your mind dormant. That is not Star Trek for me. If the Trek heart do not find a way to pump blood to your Trek mind then is fake. That is my final humble take. They got some images for us and they know the visual representation of this universe very well. If I am grateful to someone is to Michael Okuda and no one else associated with this Trek iteration, an intense work of a craftman on par maybe with Dan Curry. But there so much more to Star Trek. Ideas matter. Story matter. And most importantly, the social and political engagement with current reality affairs matters greatly. It had matter to ALL the other Trek series. "Picard" have nothing about that. "Picard" is just soap opera with space pew pew.

and not that spectacular of Pew pews either. And did I mention the Titan-A was ugly, and the Enterprise-G is even uglier....its the fact of what ship that ugly ship is supposed to represent. And one thing they missed out on. NO ONE HAS MENTIONED TO DATA THAT HE HAS A DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I MEAN COME ON SHOW!!!! and how did a 62 minute episode feel like it was less than 40?

Okay.
Kriege does some great voice work and the Queen was fantastically hideous. Everything post Borg death was okay overall and not quite as overwrought as it could have been.
Also, de Lancie looks fan-freaking-tastic for 73.
That said...the plot played out exactly as anticipated and so much before the end was just clunky and repetitive dialogue. And...
How is the Titan's random, piddly fire even a distraction? It really shouldn't be. It would have made a lot more sense to me for them to go to Jupiter as backup. An extra ship THERE might have made all the difference because can we be THAT certain that half a dozen old people won't need any help saving the galaxy.
Those people in their prime could have used an extra ship.
The kids on the Titan were Borg, so how did the rest of the fleet NOT know the Titan was lost to them?
And then, it might have sort of more directly EARNED a tie to the actual Enterprise enough to be rechristened.
I don't know how the planetary defenses work, so maybe they NEED to destroy the station, but I can't fathom how much power that base had to withstand a fleet pummeling it for 20 minutes straight. I suppose it probably helped that no one thought to SURROUND that STATIONARY target.
Overall, I have to say I didn't hate it as much as I anticipated, but it was still not good.

Well....it's a wreck of an ep but that goes for the rest of the series so what's new. And people paid to watch this in the movie theater? I suppose if you make a deal about it and go drinking before or get high or whatever and go with friends then it's enjoyable.
Three things I liked off the top of my head:
- Worf snoring. Trek humour is quite cheesy to me but this worked.
- The lights(lights!!!) turning off on the bridge. Yeah it's a cheap tug at the heart strings. I wished the ep would have ended there.
- Q. Can't keep Q down. That whole thing about Q dying was so damn stupid to begin with. I was braced for a hokey ending when the scene changed to the new Enterprise. I thought they were gonna do one of those cheap B-horror movie style of cliff hangers like what First Contact did with that fake out Picard scene at the beginning. But this was cool.
AND.....who knew Psycorp would take over Earth's government. Effin' Bester I tell ya!!! LOL!!!
Ok....so what was Matalas talking about this season being like Sub Rosa? I don't get it.

I'm sure some people are happy to see the crew get a final send off. For me, "...All Good Things" was that. Perfect. The movies overall were crap and so was this show. Hell, the show ends on a recreation of that shot from that last ep.
The TNG crew deserved sooooo much better than this.

There's a lot of unanswered questions. What about Data and Soji? What about talking cloud head? Why is a pitifully armed Vessel renamed ENTERPRISE? Also, Why is a dog ugly starship renamed ENTERPRISE? Its like going from a Dodge Viper to a Golf Cart....
Also, has anyone told Wesley that he has a Brother?
Also, was Sword Romulan dude killed on the Excelsior? What ever happened to Jurati Borg?
There's people commenting on youtube that this finale was way better than All Good Things, and that convinces me that the whole G-damned world has lost its freaking mad and are NOT REAL STAR TREK FANS. Yeah I say that fanboyish phrase because ITS FREAKIN TRUE. ITS REAL TRUE. You can't out do AGT.
Honestly, I was hoping they put the Enterprise-D back into service and make it the Dreadnought Galaxy X Enterprise. (I mean the NEgh'var came true Afterall). I rather had that, then this stupid rinky dink Neo-constitution Enterprise-G.

I can't fathom how that filming went, Matalas: "I have a great idea. Let's finish with the exact same shot as in '...All Good Things'. What you think?" Everyone: "Wow! That's awesome." It have being said before here. This show just wants to drive the message through your skull with a sledgehammer.

I rather had that, then this stupid rinky dink Neo-constitution Enterprise-G. No doubt because AGT is "boring" and talky and very little "happens" (i.e. esplodes!!!!) Yeah, They could have dreadnaught-ed the D...some streamlined spot between the D in AGT and the designs of now. Or just kept the D as a museum piece and built that D-variant from scratch, but I suspect that Matalas just had to go that extra mile to canonize the design he liked, not only as a ship in service, but ThE ENteRPrIsE!!!! Someone on trekcore said, basically, "Take the nostalgia out of the season and you really don't have anything." And they're correct. I think it boils down to Trek having mostly transitioned to something closer to an empty sci-fi action series like Andromeda and many fans honestly don't want anything that even aims for profound anymore. Also, Bev only has the one son now, it seems.

I would rather have left it mostly open to my own imagination when it came to where they'd gone and what they'd done, which is the gift Nemesis unwittingly gave, than to have seen this.

What Talking hand? ....OOOOOOHHHHHHHH, that was never explained was it? I keep feeling unsatisfied with modern Trek, and sometimes even with Strange New Worlds. Like there's an emptiness. I remember watching the VGR episode "Ship in a Bottle" and being totally excited about the Prometheus, and its discussing its awesome bridge with my cousin (I didn't know then that it was a redress of the Enterprise-A bridge then-it was a really really good redress). I was excited for each new episode, even if it were a bad episode a felt content like "I can't wait for next week" because each episode was DIFFERENT. That's a thing that is missing is each episode was DIFFERENT. Different type of story, different aesthetic, even different genres sometimes. Serious, drama, horror, comedy. You want to know the damned sad truth. I feel like I can watch Sub Rosa (TNG) over any episode of PICARD....damn that is really....that's damned sad. That's....that's not good. I need to go wash my mouth out. NEMESIS is one thing...but Sub Rosa?...boy I must be really let down. I keep forgetting that this is what Picard walked in on .... DANG THAT WAS VERY AWKWARD.... But I still feel its better than any episode of Picard.....or at least this Season

SNW is consistently trying to tell me a good story. It's not intentionally giving me middle school writing and plotting for the sole purpose of using endless pew-pews to test me for photosensitive Epilepsy.

Still collecting my thoughts about the finale and not having too much time, I'll just say this for now:
Between Seven and Spock in the new SNW S2 teaser, what's the big deal with a ship captain having a "go" gimmick (And given that they didn't "reveal" it, will it be something people will be soooo excited to speculate about if a "Seven/Ent-G" series follows? These little moments seem to be all many fans care about these days...)?

I suppose Picard made it a thing way back when but that wasn't intentional. It just happened organically. This is manufactured.
