Just got back from it and I'm not entirely certain why it's rating so poorly.
Perhaps because it's a less "kiddie" and more serious run with the character. Honestly, I appreciate that, as I was never a fan of giant, flying Pez dispensers.
But, we have yet another movie (and this is a longtime movie issue) EVERY problem presented by this film could have been avoided if Janet VanDyne had opened her speech hole years ago and told them enough about why the Quantum Realm should be avoided so that they would actually avoid it.
It's a Marvel movie, hits all those buttons and does so in entertaining fashion, though I can say that it sets up Kang the Conqueror exceedingly well and Jonathan Majors is absolutely great here. I love Kang and am really looking forward to seeing more as this phase unfolds.
And looking forward to seeing more Majors in just a couple of weeks in Creed III. Really good actor.

I am at the point where I have almost no interest for the MCU, but I came here to second how fantastic Jonathan Majors is as an actor. He was basically running laps around the other actors in Loki's Phase 4 Exposition speech finale, which was the highlight of that show, by far. I'm still unsure I will give Phase 4 any try, but if so, it will be almost exclusively due to Jonathan Majors. Excited to see him in Creed. He was also fantastic in The Last Black Man of San Francisco (which is a wonderful movie with a beautiful soundtrack):

As for Creed, I watched the first one (I liked it) and not the second one. But just seeing Majors' performance in the trailer turned that one in a must-see for me!

SPOILERS!!!! Agreed. This irked me to no end. Once they hit the quantum realm she should have been talking non-stop. But no. She still doesn't want to talk about it. It would have been one thing if she had been shown to be suffering from some type of PTSD because of her time away. That's would have been understandable. I agree with everyone else that Majors steals the show but I thought this was a subpar movie. The second half just falls flat for me. I didn't care at all that MODOK was the guy from the first movie nor did I care he had a 'redemption'(?) arc(?). I miss the 3 stooges. They don't fit in this adventure for sure but it would have been nice somehow. Too long. Could have easily reduced by 30 minutes and it might have been better for it. Same for Wakanda. I didn't mind the more serious tone but then the jokes weren't funny. Kinda lame really.
