James Gunn announces the new plan for DC encompassing tv, movies, and video games. It was interesting to hear him say that it's gonna be one big universe instead of the separate entities we have with between these media. That sounds incredibly ambitious. Even Marvel isn't that grand.
Bluntly, I'm not impressed but I also figured this was just gonna be him trying to hype up his new vision. I get that.
He confirms that The Flash movie will basically reshuffle everything(Flashpoint). I think this was the one bitter pill they had to swallow given Ezra Miller's legal issues.
I don't know The Authority or Creature Commandos. But I also understand having a couple of low key properties to experiment with and also not spend a lot of money. Same goes for Booster Gold.
I am not happy to hear GOT in reference to the Themyscera series. I have no problem with dark, broody, 'adulty', etc... but I'll insist that DC and Marvel are not that. Marvel gets that. Not sure why DC still doesn't get that through their heads.
Having Lanterns be an Earth bound series seems to be clipping their wings so to speak. I get the cost saving measure but GLs(and any other Lanterns) are bigger than Earth. Seems rather limiting. I am curious though. I like the detective angle. Again, I just hope it doesn't go 'adulty'.
Thoughts?

What I think about it, I want to watch a movie based upon "Batman Beyond" the animated series.

I'm thinking this is only the first part of their Chapter 1. I'm getting vibes that there will be a lot more involved. Also like that the films or series can be stand-alone or taken all together. That's something Marvel has dropped the ball on a bit really.

I tend not to watch trailers that I'm interested in. So I did my best to avoid The Flash until this weekend when there was one in the Ant Man showing....which I found a bit weird.
My impression was feeling sorry for WB. They're so desperate to make this a hit. They threw everything on screen. There's really no surprises or anything else to tell. I suppose they're trying to catch attention as best as they can.
It does look like it could be a decent movie.
