What is everyone's bucket list band/artist? Which was the band you wanted to see more than any other, and have you got to see them, or do you plan to see them, or has Ticketmaster ruined your dreams?
Mine was Genesis. I wanted more than anything since I was 12 to see Genesis live. When they got back together for a reunion/farewell tour in 2021, I had to go. I went with my dad to Charlotte North Carolina to see them. The concert was the most expensive i ever went to. It was over $300 for both tickets after Ticketmaster was done ripping us off with "fees" and those were the cheap seats. Phil Collins was struggling a bit due to his health, but oh my God, did they put on a show! It was a dream come true.
Iron Maiden I already saw them twice. Once in Puerto Rico, then on D.C. It was awesome. On D.C. Ghost open for them, and that is another great band.
I saw them back in October at Greensboro North Carolina. Great show. I actually saw them back in July of 2019 in Charlotte North Carolina. I never thought I'd ever get to see them live, and now I've seen them twice. What's funny its the same tour. But they changed a few things up a bit. They added the first 3 songs off their new album to the set list and added Bloodbrothers. But they dumped 'For the greater Good of God" and a couple of others to fit them. I enjoyed the Greensboro show better then the Charlotte show. I think it was because the Greensboro one was at a better venue and was indoors. They're my 2nd favorite band behind Genesis.
I guess I've seen all the bands I've wanted to see especially the 80's classics(Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, etc...). I also did see Maiden in PR(2008?).
Bucket list items of the big kind were anyone from the The Beatles(I got to see Paul twice and Ringo once) and I got to see The Rolling Stones before Watts died.
Minor bucket list item: Thank You Scientist. Fantastic prog band. I'm lucky that I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I have the availability to see these acts.
Luckily as well, my tastes are not in 'big' artists in recent years so avoid the Ticketmaster beating....although plenty of other ticket services add their own 'convenience' fees.

Oh that reminds me. Within Temptation opened for Iron Maiden in Greensboro which was a treat because I been wanting to see them live since I got into them in 2009.
Remember when you just bought tickets from the venue?

Heart. Ann Wilson is one of the greatest female vocalists in history. And, yes, I've seen them. They were painfully cheap seats, but at least I got there.

I have always wanted to see them. Those sudden loud high notes that Ann seams to just smash without a thought. I mean they really soar!!!

She is simply epic. Hadn't even really heard of the band until '85 with "Heart" Was one of the first two CDs I ever bought and just consumed everything she's done since.

SherlockHolmes: Went and Saw the total Eclipse in Indiana. Was lucky that it was one of the few places not blocked by clouds. The most amazing experience of my life. The temperature dropped 20 degrees, the crickets started chirping Street lights came on.

SherlockHolmes: @ Beastboy Because SW thinks a Parsec is a unit of time. And that a galaxy is small enough to get across at .5 past lightspeed. Also, I used to love the A-team, although there a lot of bullets being fired not seemingly hitting anything

BeastBoy: What do you think about The A-Team series (old series)?
Mar 27, 2024 22:45:20 GMT
Prometheus59650: I don't hate SW. I've just never thought all that highly of it. Parts of it, sure. It's a little too "over-the-top" radio soap opera to me.

BeastBoy: Good night! Why do Star Trek fans hate Star wars so much?
Mar 27, 2024 22:37:43 GMT
Prometheus59650: And it's not a toy or something they weren't sharing, which, yeah, if some stranger messed up my GI Joe with the Kung-Fu grip, I get it. But we're talking about FOOD--food you seem to have plenty of. It's just kind of dark and gross.
Mar 27, 2024 15:55:08 GMT
SherlockHolmes: Yeah me too. Makes me want to start the "Give the Rabbit some Trix" movement. Was these corporations actually enticing kids to act like this? Be greedy, don't share. Like Switch the species to race and see how F'ed up those commercials are.
Mar 26, 2024 22:00:55 GMT
Prometheus59650: I always felt bad for the rabbit, and actually hurt my feelings as a little kid seeing it. He seems like a perfectly nice guy and all he wants is to share a bowl of cereal with 'em.
Mar 26, 2024 17:48:59 GMT
SherlockHolmes: Anyone else want to smack the snot out of those kids and give that poor rabbit a bowl of Trix? This is like been my feeling since I was 5 years old. Stop being greedy little twirps, and give the rabbit a bowl of Trix. It ain't gonna hurt you.

SherlockHolmes: BeastBoy For social commentary, no - time was right. But If it had aired just one later, it may have never got cancelled. The year it got cancelled, that next fall season TV season Neilson started using demographics, which were very favorable for Trek

BeastBoy: is Star Trek TOS was airing on NBC too in 1966?
Mar 23, 2024 21:16:52 GMT
SherlockHolmes: @ BeastBoy I love that show. I own the whole series. I actually got into it when Team Knight Rider was airing on NBC in 1997-98. (That show only lasted 1 season-but I thought it was great)
Mar 22, 2024 14:00:53 GMT
BeastBoy: What do you think about Knight Rider 1982-1986?
Mar 22, 2024 12:10:28 GMT
ashleytinger: Never actually playe it but the basic premise seems good

BeastBoy: Hi! What do you think about Star Trek DS9 The Fallen?
Mar 20, 2024 11:34:05 GMT
ashleytinger: Neither really. Not so much into shooters anymore. Never saw the appeal of a Trek shooter. I wanted something like an RPG or space combat and with Star Wars I think Battlefront does the ip better than Republic COmmando
