Anyone watching? I'm reserving any judgement given that it's only been two episodes. There seems to be a lot of money put into this. Sets and graphics overall look amazing.

The only aspect that gives me pause is that I came away with an impression that it seemed like they were going "Game of Thronish" after the second ep. I suppose it's inevitable that many scifi-fantasy would like to replicate this formula.

There's some heavy hitters in the acting department with Emily Watson and Olivia Williams by themselves. I like Mark Strong as well.

I've read all of the original book series multiple times and some of the other books written after Frank Herbert died. I don't get Max so I haven't seen the series. The fact that Brian Herbert's co-writer is involved is a bad sign to me. A few of the newer books were okay but none of them were as remotely good as the original ones. I'd watch it if I could.
