I didn't realize this came out a little while ago. Very nice collection of stories as usual. Of note is how most of the stories, except the first ep, are 'retro' taking place in other decades prior rather than the present. As someone who lived through some of those it's interesting to see how younger folks might view the 90's for example.
Joan Is Awful
Uncharacteristic of Black Mirror is to have much humour. Oh sure, there is a perverse sense of comedy when a British Prime Minister has to have sex with a pig in other to save a kidnapped royal but this ep is just outright comedy. Gotta hand it to Salma Hayek to go all in.
Loch Henry
Quite chilling. The actress in the mom role was fantastic. You could sense that stress, anxiety, whatever it was she was feeling. I appreciate the slight story arc the pub owner has showing him seemingly healthier at the end.
Beyond The Sea
This is the first dud in these series for me. Some set up stuff doesn't make sense.

1. Security for the astronauts? Hello? The event that sets up the rest of the story shouldn't have even taken place.
2. Duplication tech: Cool.....but then why aren't the duplicates on the ship? What was essential to the space mission that a human was needed?
These two flaws are unfortunately needed to produce the ep.

I really enjoyed this one because it is very different than anything in Black Mirror. BM usually(all?) relies on technology as the main ingredient in telling these stories. Whether it's tech gone awry, someone abusing tech, dystopian futures created by tech, etc... up to now. This story is straight up Twilight Zone and it was a surprise. I only wished they hadn't done the reveal(the car accident victim). That would have given the rehab center scene a bigger punch.
Demon 79
Considering the subject matter, this story is told with a certain heart and humour again. As with the previous ep, a departure from tech centered horror to supernatural. It's a little too long given the simple story it is.
