This is a really good start, and I love how this all still feels so grounded. Realistic steps on the journey into space and real problems that go with it.
And I know that they're setting up Margo's redemption here, but i can't imagine a situation where she stops deserving a wall and blindfold.

Spoilers….
Will miss Lev Gorn. I have been rewatching The Americans and he is an actor with an ability to pack a lot of stoic power into his performances.

Looks like we're sowing the seeds of a Martian civil war here.

This show is my new Star Trek. I love it to pieces, even if I want to yell at some of the characters as I'm watching.

I think I see the endgame at this point.
They try to steal the rock and a combined Russian/US force tries to seize Happy Valley.
............Cliffhanger

Margo's going out a window at some point. Irina already told her that she didn't trust her, certainly believing that if she betrayed one country, she'll betray another. As soon as her usefulness is at an end... And, really, can we just rename this show, "For All Edkind?" For literal decades now this dude HAS to be the most important guy in every room, all the time. And, if he's not, he absolutely pitches a fit , willing to blow everything up to get his way.

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed at the direction of the last two episodes; the race to capture the asteroid seems like a rehash of the race to Mars in previous seasons. The strike subplot also feels like BSG's mining ship strike episode, as well as the almost-strike on New Caprica. And yes, Ed is the center of attention, and he's a deeply flawed hero, like Alan Shepard (who was rumored to be a super A-hole) but he's not my favorite character by a long shot.

I see what you're saying with theBSG/Caprica comparisons because I've seen them myself; to the point that, holy, Hell. I'm gonna facewall if Ed makes whatever final choice he'll be faced with and then his hand stops shaking.

Joel Kinnaman is an amazing actor, and it's amazing how he loses any trace of Swedish with his American accent. That said, his old age makeup borders on Dirty Grandpa sometimes, especially watching it via a digital projector on a 7 ft. screen.
