No more in stores. No more online. thedigitalbits.com/columns/my-two-cents/101223-1100Not a shock since I share the experience where they don't even put new releases out anymore; you have to ask employees who have to go look. At any rate, 4K discs are going to be the last physical movie media and that will eventually wither. The only thing I see that will extend its life is, if the streaming wars get as messy as it looks like they'll get. With all of the streamers purging content to save money and streamers looking to eat each other alive and then purge more content after they've bought out someone else, there may be a persistent niche market. But....sadness all the same.

Best Buy hasn't kept their physical media in stores up to date for almost 10 years now. New stuff isn't out, they're series are often incomplete and missing things, etc. And if you didn't pre-order a steelbook, good luck. And if you did pre-order it, hope it arrived! And then they wonder why sales are abysmal. Could never find what I was looking for in store. If I'm ordering it online, I'm going with the cheapest which is almost always Amazon.

Target's movie section has also dwindled comparatively. However they do seem to still carry new releases.

If I'm ordering it online, I'm going with the cheapest which is almost always Amazon. Not only is it cheaper but, to your previous point, you can find the dang thing! I got really tired of going store to store trying to find something, even after having called, and zippo. Nada. Nope. Not running around anymore to get stuff.
