I was actually excited about this and this has been the biggest disappointment for me of all the Marvel shows.
It wants to be a spy thriller. But they dumped the whole plot in the first one and a half episodes instead of trusting viewers to figure it out.
They're just killing characters at random at this point. And they fridged a character I liked. Meh.
They've telegraphed SO HARD that certain characters are actually Skrulls that NONE of them have been a surprise.
Just... Meh.

It's kinda ok but it basically rethreads ground covered in Falcon and Winter Soldier...down to the African American solidarity thing.
I wish it were more cloak and dagger than, yet again, another secret organization led by a rebellious young person of colour.
And yeah....that one character's death...ughhh....That character was awesome. At least give the person a bit more to do before culling.

I mean... ok?
It was none of what they talked about. Spy thriller? no. It would have worked better with it as a revenge story for Fury like the last few episodes.
I think I've either watched too much Marvel or their story beats were really tired because I called that little twist before the fight as soon as I saw Fury heading in.
The actors did their best but this was just... meh.

The actors did their best but this was just... meh. No, it's not you. This is just content for the sake of content. There really wasn't any interesting story to be told here. There could have been. The idea of a search for a homeworld was a great idea. It should have taken place out there in space; not here with the tired cliche of a secret cabal threatening to take over the world. We saw that as recently as with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier; another relatively lackluster series. I guess it's Wednesday again and I totally forgot there was another episode...again. |

Ouch. I just saw the season finale. What a complete waste of time. Per usual for these newer streaming series of all types, the story(whatever there was of it) could have been told in half the number of episodes.

This seems to be a cost-cutting measure by Disney in light of recent box office disappointments. With Gi'ah, they now only have to pay one person to have virtually every MCU character's power, so no problem can go untackled with just the one hero. Sheer Brilliance. Mad props to the accounting department at Marvel.  |
