The classic TAS episode Yesteryear would make a potentially amazing OTOY style episode. It has spectacular locations, a strong story and cool action. With Mark Leonard reprising Sarek, would it be appropriate to swap out Majel Barrett as Amanda and replace her voice with an AI Jane Wyatt created from her Journey to Babel and Star Trek IV episodes, perhaps mixed in with a youth algorithm created from Lost Horizon?

Yesteryear is easily my favorite TAS episode, but my only worry is; how much can you change a thing while 'preserving' the thing you first enjoyed? Putting in Jane Wyatt's AI voice might also be a slap in the face to the memory of Majel, who jumped in when they couldn't afford Wyatt. Yesteryear is what it is. Sure, I'd love to see the animation brought up to a more modern standard, but I wouldn't want to tamper with the actors' original voice performances--that's a line too far for me.

Keep AI away from Every art there is. AI has no business in art. Not until the Positronic era anyway.
