I started digging into a Paramount+ series called "School Spirits," a series about a recently murdered high school girl trying to solve her own murder with the aid of her best friend and a few fellow campus ghosts from various decades, who also can't move on. It's kind of a mashup between "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" "Dead Like Me" and BBC's "Ghosts." I'm on Episode 6 of 8, and it's pretty watchable; like I said, it very much reminds me of Buffy's early days, and that's a good thing. Not the most original series by any means, but the cast is surprisingly engaging, and I found myself unexpectedly caught up in the whodunnit structure. Despite it's serialized format, it's one of the few current streaming shows that doesn't feel too padded or annoyingly protracted to fill 'x' number of segments ( looking at YOU, Star Trek: Picard...).

Just finished watching it. I liked it. Nothing original but well casted and written.

Just finished watching it. I liked it. Nothing original but well casted and written. Exactly. Sometimes innocuous, non-challenging entertaining is perfectly okay, too. Like you, I love the cast, and the writing is both sweet and clever.
